five star rating, is overrated !!
5 / 10
upon arrival, we were greeted with smiles from the staff on the front desk, very helpfull and informative.

got into the room, upon entering smelt a bit musky, not sure if it was the air con or not, but wouldn't expect that from a five star hotel.

on the evening we chose to dine in the brasserie, i opted for the carvey, you can't go too far wrong.

the guy in front of me in the que, asked for extra meat i think the chef must of had enough that day.

got to serve me asked what would i like, i said can i have a mixture.

he then says to me " is that it " i think he meant to say " is that ok for you sir " or something along those lines i was expecting.

no personallity, couldn't even raise a smile.

she went for the mushroom linguine, tasteless, bland, not worth the money.

i could have cooked better myself, the dish got the salt treatment to make it more interesting.

later on that evening we went for a drink in the bar, took ages to get served.

the irish girl next to me at the bar was complaining about how long she had been waiting, and said if she was in ireland now she would have been served, and the bar staff would have been saked for being too slow.

the room was ok apart from this funny smell the bed was massive, really comfy.

i didn't really sleep too well as the couple in the room above us felt a bit randy in the early hours.

think they should replace the bed's more often, or check the springs.

our beds were two single beds cleverly disguised as a double bed, cunning !!

if you stayed on the 28th of june and had a room overlooking the car park, thanks a bunch !! have more consideration for other people trying to sleep.

and finally breakfast, it was self service so no problems there until i got back to the table.

i discovered a black hair in my meal, if they use hair nets in the kitchen then they should be more careful in future.

overall a good place, but let down by certain members of staff because most other staff even took the trouble to say hello to you when passing by.

if your reading this review and you are a hotel inspector, i would strongly suggest you pay a visit sometime soon.
