About
We are a traditional English restaurant but we also have Cantonese chefs as well as our English chef . We combine the two so there is a wide choice of quality food . All our meat and vegatables are sourced locally wherever possible we are not a formal restaurant , we aim to provide a comfortable homely atmosphere. We are not trying to compete with high class establishments we are a village local restaurant offering good food at reasonable prices. Breakfast and lunch are English food only . Chinese food is only available in the evening.

happy to eat here again

Although Grumpys is now under new managment we think this is for the better. It has been decorated to a good standard and there is a new seating area for diners. The staff were friendly and the food was superb, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. We would definitly recomend. Thankyou Grumpys.

Yes Many Thanks To all staff at Grumpy's for a great night last night good food, good company, good wine, and great value.

I would highly reccomend Grumpy's to any one.

What a shame

What a shame that this lovely restaurant has changed hands! After a great meal there last year we were extremely disappointed last weekend (Easter 2009) when we dined there again. No atmosphere, over cooked food, most of it in a batter (chinese influence), frozen tasteless vegetables and they could not even provide a bottle of wine with a cork! A screw topped bottle for the price we paid? It was daylight robbery. We will not be going there again.
