We ordered plaice with white wine sauce.
The plaice smelt and tasted very strong, That was off putting enough, The white wine sauce was just white wine poured over the top and a little pesso mixed in. well that's what it tasted like... The vegies for two was one small soup dish between us both, with a couple of halves of potato. a few julien carrots, and a bit of broccoli. It tasted foul and we were disgusted that it cost £8.50. and £2.50 a bottle of lager each. What a rip off. We ate it because we were hungry, but we both had that strong foul tasting fish taste in our mouth all day.
Yuk! I am a chef. I commented on the meal I think it was only fair to let them know the truth. I will not be going back there again. I do not reccommend anyone else orders that dish.
Quirky location, keep an eye out for the "honesty shop" at a nearby farm entrance, stall has excellent produce and the eggs (if any are left are fantastic).
enjoy!
