Always a pleasure to eat here with my family or friends, whether inside or outside in the lovly gardens.You recieve a warm welcome in a family atmosphere they are friendly and accomodating if you take the kids too!
we have always enjoyed the meals and will continue to recommend this pub/B+B.keep up the hard work!

HI TO ALL THAT WILL READ THIS FIRSLY WHERE CAN I START FIRSTLY THIS PLACE SOULD BE PUT ON THE MAP ME AND MY FAMILY WENT FOR JUST ONE NIGHT AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED THE HOSPITALITY THAT WE RECIVED WHEN WE GOT THERE WAS SECOND TO NONE WE MEET PHIL THE ONER AT THE FRONT AND HE SHOWED US TO OUR ROOM WHICH WAS LARGE, SPACIOUS AND VERY CLEAN AND HAD A TV SO THE KIDS VERY HAPPY HE ALSO PUT TWO EXTRA BEDS IN THE SAME ROOM AT SHORT NOTICE THE BEDS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE AND WE ALL SLEEPED WELL WE HAD A BREAKFAST THAT WAS GREAT AND WAS VERY FILLING THAT SET US UP FOR THE DAY AHEAD THEY ALSO ACCOMADTED FOR MY DAUGHTER WHICH HAS A EGG ALLERGY IN ALL THE ONER AND STAFF WERE VERY WELCOMING TO US AND DOWN TO EARTH AS FOR WHAT THE LAST PERSON HAS WROTE FEEDBACK I THINK THEY ARE WRONG AS WHEN I WENT TO THE BAR AND HAD A PINT IN THE NIGHT IT WAS PULLED TO PERFECTION AND WAS A GOOD PINT THOUGH HAVING JUST THE ONE WAS HARD AS THE ATMOSPHERE IN THE PUD WAS WARM AND VERY WELCOMING TO ME AND MY FAMILY THIS WAS ALSO GREAT VALUE FOR MOUNY WITH PLENTY TO DO LOCALY AS WITHIN A MILE YOU HAVE BLACKWOOD TOWN CENTER WHICH HAS LOTS OF THINGS TO DO AND SEE THIS PLACE WAS GREAT AND WE WILL BE BACK SOON MANY THANKS TO PHIL AND ALL THE STAFF KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND SEE YOU SOON FROM THE WILTSHIRE CREW

Gone downhill since the Taylors left a few years ago. Not as clean or as professionally run. The landlady has absolutely no idea how to pull a pint of real ale! Last time I visited, the fridges behind the bar were practically empty, which leaves an impression of laziness and lack of awareness. The same chef has been there for some time now so I suspect the food is still of a reasonable standard. But the professionalism has disappeared from the overall running of the pub. Staying open due to previous good name I suspect. I don't think it has a tourist board rating anymore either, but don't quote me on that. People go here because they are too lazy to go anywhere else. Could be so much better, knowing what it used to be like.
