Family visit
9 / 10
I visited Quayside with the family. The food was wonderful and the cleanliness was great. I noticed they have 5 stars. The cafe is right beside the waters edge and the views were wonderful. After our lovely food we fed the birds and then had a lovely stroll. We will definitely visit here again.

THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN THE NORTH EAST
10 / 10
I can't believe that last review. I'm a regular vistor of the Quayside chippy and i know lots of people who go there too. It offers high quality service and delivers the best food. Yes it does get vey busy but that just shows how popular it is. If you know your going to get good food you don't mind the wait. The staff are always happy and friendly even in their busiest times. I would recommend anyone who visits Amble or the North East to pop in and taste REAL fish and chips.

Poor Service
1 / 10
I had the misfortune of ordering a simple small fish and chips. After half an hour they arrived and were so greasy were nearly inedible. They had run out of fish so were cooking fresh. In the meantime they served people who wanted pies, sausages etc. So, guess what, when the fish was ready there were no chips, thus another wait. One couple had ordered together, one a pie the other a fish; the pie was consumed before the other was barely ready. At least 8 people left, disgusted with the service and I was on the verge of asking for my money back, but my wife calmed me down. I am not a visitor I live in Amble and will not be back again. No doubt this will be removed which goes to show they dont like critiscism. JGH

Best fish and chips ever!

I have been on holiday twice near Amble and both times have eaten here. The fish was wonderful - fresh, white and skinless. Chips were good too. I would recommend the Quayside unreservedly.
