Furzton Lake

food was cold, female supervisor was very rude, would go elsewere if i was you,name and shame this rubbish pub!!!!

I was recently on a business trip to the small business park next to the Premier Inn and the Furzton Lake Pub. It made sense to stay at the hotel (literally 20 metres from where i was working).

The hotel was fine, basic but exactly what you would expect from a no frills hotel chain.

The Pub / Bar / Restaurant on the over hand was a complete let down....

So a small group of us decided to go the pub as we were pretty much there anyways. Instead of being greated and shown to our seats we were ignored by 2 members of staff who were just chatting, eventually when they were ready we were shown to a table. Not a great start to the evening! The pub does not offer a full table service so you need to go to the order point on the ground floor, not a huge problem but it did mean we were having to go downstairs to get drinks. Eventaully they brought the drinks up to us.

We ordered a mixture of food, it was Grill night so we took advantage of the offer that they were running. The food was not the best, edible but nothing special, barely warm and not quite as we ordered it.

I wouldn't reconmend for an actual meal, a quite drink yes but food / service no.

This place is great. It sits right by The Furzton Lake itself and has lovely views. The menu is really good as all its meals are two for the price of one!!! Bargain!
This includes meals such as mixed grills and steaks which we always have and they are always really tasty. It can get very busy but it is worth the wait. Even though the staff are running around a lot they are very friendly and helpful. The only small point I would make is they should pay a bit more attention to the water feature outside as it doesn't look very inviting but once you get in you won't be disappointed.
