The worst place to eat ever, staff ignore you. be prepared to go get your own menus, load the fire yourself, go to the bar for your drinks, wait for 10 mins til they come back in from smoking their fags, wait 1 hour for food and don't dare complain or they will have a full barney with you and tell you to eat your burnt food and mushy veg.

Freezing cold, wine stale, food came after more than an hour, staff fought with customers other staff throughly ignored diners . Food was burnt but no way would the server return them to the kitchen ,

I can't believe it took me so long to realise that The Salutation Inn is back open, and has been since October! Me and my girlfriend popped in last Sunday afternoon on the off chance that they were serving food, luckily they serve food all day on a Saturday and Sunday, I had a large Steak and Ale Pie which was really good and my girlfriend had the Roast Beef which she really enjoyed, we both also had puddings, a sticky toffee pudding and a pavlova with a real home made meringue! We both really enjoyed it and will be visiting soon and we would both highly recommend it!
