TO ALL WHO COMMENT ABOUT THE VENUE AND RESTURANT!!!! My old managers are the new managers of the rocking horse i have known them for quite along time i work in the preston brook pub in runcorn and when the managers took over from there everything there was a disaster mike and sheilegh baker who now manage the rocking horse give the preston brook a good name they have not long took over at the rocking horse so please GIVE THEM TIME YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED they are good professional managers who will do there upmost to satify customers PLEASE BE PAITENT

I took my family to the Rocking Horse for sunday roast on 03.08.08 and what a complete disappointment it was too. Like the other persons comment, we too ordered the chicken roast, totalling £30 for the 4 dinners, and I really thought for that price it would have been nice. Everything was frozen, the carrots had never seen hot water or steam, the stuffing could have broken the table if it was dropped upon it!! Hardly any gravy and the chicken leg and wing were like concrete, only the small breast was edible. Never, ever again!!!!!

We went for Sunday lunch on 6 April 2008. 10 minutes approx after it was ordered it arrived...what a disappointment. We both chose the chicken roast dinner. It comprised of half a chicken (surprisingly not much meat), a yorkshire pudding(!), 1 stuffing ball, boiled potatoes, measly roast potatoes, bisto gravy and carrots(not cooked enough-rock hard). All for £7.95. It was awful. Looked like all frozen food blitzed in a microwave. Service left something to be desired.Dirty forks, unsmiling waitress-never again...
