This is a terrible hotel!
This is a terrible hotel! Stayed here after a wedding and was not told about an event taking place in the Hotel that went on till 3am. The whole village was vibrating from the loud music and the owners were not sympathetic when we asked what was going on and when it might end they looked bemused and didn't help us. In the morning they didn't apologise for not telling us about the event or the noise, instead they looked sheepish and didn't say anything to us other than would we like breakfast. The owners also have a huge doberman which was barking at us as we entered the hotel at 1am with no owner in sight to control it. I wasn't sure it wasn't going to jump over the counter and bite us. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone definately not worth paying £65 for, the place is clean and that is all I could say that was good about this place. Smells of smoke, has very poor facilities tv, kettle, coffee tea, cold tap didn't work on the sink, fire alarm went off randomly and the owner interrogated us if we'd been smoking in the room (we asked for a non smoking room?!). Also the breakfast in the morning was on the cheap side, very poor selection of cereals and no menu to find out what was in the cooked breakfast. There are plenty of other better value hotels in the area worth paying a taxi for, unfortunately they were all booked up when we tried but here is a good list to start with: http://www.starstay.com/ahotels/showhotel.asp?hotel_id=110702 http://www.starstay.com/ahotels/showhotel.asp?hotel_id=240883 http://www.starstay.com/ahotels/showhotel.asp?hotel_id=38337
