Theo's Greek Restaurant

A potentially fantastic restaurant ruined by the attitude of some of the staff. If I was the only person to have experienced this I'd put it down to bad luck / an off day but it seems a lot of people have been made to feel unwelcome here. The most unpleasant experience I've ever had in a restaurant led to myself and partner leaving before our meal arrived. We were very hungry and had been really looking forwards to trying the food but realised there was no way we could enjoy a meal in the atmosphere created by the sneers and snide comments we were subjected to.

We go to THEO'S all the time we've been going for years, i just saw the review by army 1. we were sat on the next table to him, they had'nt booked, as there was only one small table for 2 he was given it, the restaurant was packed it was a very hot evening all the windows and doors were open,army 1 spoilt our night the owners wife is very proffesional and charming lady who did her best to make sure army1 and wife were ok, he ordered wine then moaned the pitta was mouldy it certainly was'nt then as he was eating a fly landed on his plate, army 1 i've noticed said on other site's it's an earwig then a cochroach, the chef and owner came said it's just landed on your plate it's still alive, and offered to make another meal army 1 was bad mannered and nasty to the owners who were doing there best, he was told the meal was free,. he did'nt even pay for his wine.Nick is a marvellous chef, his wife is a lovely lady, polite and helpful the staff are polite. THEO'S is a great restaurant good authentic greek cooking, excellent in all aspects, and very clean,

Had mouldy pitta bread, followed by an earwig in the main course. The owner was very aggresive and shouted at us for complaining. Dont go!!!!!!!!

i felt that i should write a review on theo's.to let others know what an excellent restaurant theo's is, it's excellent in all ways the cleanliness, the service the food its all very good its authentic greek cooking and nick the owner and chef does it all himself, we have'nt been for a while due to a new baby but the owners wife remembered us and was pleased to see us back. it was a good night as it as the last time we went. we were given a complimentry glass of cyprus brandy, to congratulate us there lovely people. yamas. means cheers in greek ...
