About
Annie Baileys restaurant and pub in Great Missenden is a contemporary restaurant in the heart of the Chilterns with a bit of history of its own. The original Annie Baileys opened in Cuddington, Bucks, in 1991 and was named for the landlady of the pub in 1847, which was known as the Red Lion at that time. The real Annie Bailey is buried in the churchyard next door. Then the owners moved the restaurant to this delightful spot in 2002, bringing the name, the ambience and the warm welcome with them and Annie Bailey sprang to life again. The British gastropub style menu is fresh and inventive and has won a legion of local fans. The young, energetic staff adds vibrancy to the place and the charming modern decor feels great. For warm days the patio is ideal for al fresco meals and the menus â?? and wine list â?? are reasonably priced which is another reason to return to this local gem again and again.
