Stayed here in October. Clean rooms, fantastic breakfast and welcoming log fire!
Great location for gateway to the Lake District, Blackpool. Very reasonable all-round and a good bar too!

Keep up the standards! Sorry we missed Halloween!

Excellent!

We had the good fortune to stay at the Seven Stars a couple of Friday's ago and we have to say we had a fantastic stay.

The staff and hosts were extremely friendly and the room was clean and welcoming. We had a great nights sleep and the only thing that got us out of bed was the promise of a decent breakfast!

We weren't disappointed either as we were treated to one, and we do not exaggerate here, of the best breakfasts we have ever enjoyed. The fried breakfast was fantstaic and the bread and jam were both homemade and excellent.

Given the price of hotel rooms these days and, in particular, the high price of the usually average breakfasts this place is a little gem and anyone visiting Blasckpool would be well advised to travel that little bit further out of town and stay at the Seven Stars.

We are told that the restaurant food is also all home-cooked and worth trying so we are hoping for another trip to the Seven Stars very soon!

EXCELLENT!!!!

First thing to clear up Babz1 I have no idea why u gave such a bad review but obviously you have mixed up the Seven Stars with another establishment.

I have given 9 out of 10 due the nobody being perfect, but the Seven stars were very close.

I stayed a total of 4 days and cannot fault the food or the service one bit! Affordable, generous servings, excellent service are the first 3 things that come to mind followed by freshly baked homemade bread and homemade jam.

The rooms are small but homely, truth be told you wouldn't spend more time than u have to in them because the pub downstairs is a definite attraction. If we needed anything they had it there ready, with smiles and a few jokes in between. Very Inviting!

All in all my family and I found the Seven Stars to be a great place to stop in and stay a few nights, And I plan to stay again when I hopefully visit England once more in a year or so.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this establishment to others in fact I already have!

Great Stay
  9 / 10
I have just returned from my second stay with Rick and Catherine at the Seven Stars and again I have found them welcoming and hospitable. I stayed between the 7th and 10th Oct for B&B at a very reasonable rate (Rm 4). I found the rooms to be very comfortable and of a reasonable size, en suite, with remote colour TV and tea/coffee facilities. The bed was very comfortable and clean with good quality sheets and pillows. Extra cushions were also provided. Rick cooked the breakfast himself and is an excellent cook. Full English was provided in the price and the portions were as large as you wanted and served in the cosy restaurant with a homely real fire in the hearth. The home-made strawberry jam was excellent. Complimentary daily newspapers were on offer if required. I stayed with my cousin and family from Australia and had access to other rooms (Rms 3 & 6) and saw them to be equal to mine in all respects. I did not have an evening meal on this occasion but have in the past and Rick makes his own recipes and service is very good. I recommend this B&B for anyone who wishes to visit the Blackpool area avoiding the obvious pitfalls of staying in the town. (I am a qualified assessor in the Hospitality trade, having spent 30 years working in pub and NVQ businesses, so I should know.)

B&B
  10 / 10
Myself and my wife recently stayed at the Seven Stars (02 October 2011).

The room itself was very comfortable and very clean. The bed linen was clean and smelled very fresh and was neatly ironed. The bathroom was small with a walk-in shower, but was very clean and stocked with shampoo, soap, conditioner and shower gel.

We had a full English breakfast, and was very impressed at the effort - home-made bread freshly made that morning, is not something you normally get in a £25 a night B&B!!

All in all - I can recommend this pub for B&B and food. We were pleasantly surprised and are planning to return in the New Year. Very nice to see a true family run establishment, rather than a big chain where there is no thought to detail. Thank You!
