Motel "Viking"
I with my wife and our friends ? also married couple- have decided to spend two week holidays in London. The choice has fallen on motel Viking because of its reasonable price, because of an arrangement - near to underground Stratford (Central line) and that it only has opened two months ago. Really, rooms are spacious enough and clean. What else to expect from new hotel? But, unfortunately, on it the positive moments come to an end, and minuses as it has appeared, block all pluses.
I will begin with a site. Stratford is an area, where local population, in overwhelming majority, - natives of India, Pakistan and Africa. And from Poland. By the way, the attendants of motel have been presented by two Polish girls and management by natives of India.
During check-in on reception manager of the motel has emphasized that the breakfast begins at 7.30, and comes to an end exactly at 9.00. During that moment anybody from us has not given special value to its words. It is vain, as it was found out next morning. By the way, any registration cards to us have not suggested to fill ? we simply have got the room keys - and all.
I will describe our continental breakfast . More truly, I will list all its components.
There were: milk in metal (demountable) tank, tank with an instant coffee, thin cut tinned ham, the cut cheese, slices of toasts, butter, jam apricot and strawberry in small pickings. Well still hot boiled water for tea . Basically, it is enough for an unpretentious breakfast. But, exactly at 9.00 two unfriendly girls removed from a table a show-window with a ham and cheese, carried away tanks with milk and coffee which were heavy enough. Probably, they worked from the moment of motel opening and have got skilled at to do all it very fast ? in a minute tables appeared absolutely empty. All it was accompanied by loud tirades in the Polish language. They did not react to our morning greetings in any way though Good Morning can understand the majority of people on the Earth. Having finished thus with late visitors, maidens with feeling of the executed debt took seat for a table to have breakfast. We left motel usually in an hour ones and a half after the breakfast termination, but always saw them behind a table, usually to the companies of the manager or the worker wearing dirty clothes.
Once in the morning, having looked out in a window, I have seen to a pain a familiar picture, which, unfortunately not a rarity in streets of Petersburg. In an internal court yard the input in motel had a car with beaten out driver window. That it has occurred on this place there was no doubt since nearby there was glass splinters. I could not believe to the eyes. When I have asked the manager of motel what happens, I?ve got an answer ? nothing serious, the same things happens sometimes. By the way, I didn?t see the police there.
Cleaning of rooms was doing by Polish girls. Behind closed doors. I, admit, I will not remember any hotel where it would occur like this. Always and everywhere during cleaning room door is opened wide open. But only not in motel the Viking. The reason of it became clear very soon. My wife has bought a perfumery set in which was a cream in a jar. And so, on the next day after that acquisitions, the wife has found out that all boxes with perfumery have been opened, their contents were taken out, and the jar with a cream turned out to become half devastated - a cream have removed by finger.
I locked a suitcase, but it had also a coded lock which I did not touch. Naturally, the lock code number has been brought down - obviously there was an attempt it to open it, well and to return in initial, probably, mind has not sufficed. At our friends the quantity of shampoo has sharply decreased, besides, the bottle cover has appeared is broken. The linen, probably, on the reason of shortage of time, did not change during four days. I have defined it on a stain from juice on a bed-sheet. After all I wrote a note "Don't touch!" and put it in a box with perfumery. On dirty bed sheet I put a note "Don't forget to change!". With an arrow on a stain. Linen after that have been replaced and to rummage in things became more accurately.
By the way, audibility in numbers was too excellent - when in 7 o'clock in the morning neighbors opened a box in or doors- there was a sensation that it occurs near your bed. Especially bright feelings were caused by opening and closing of entrance doors of room nearby, room above and room below.

The start of our plane home was in the morning, therefore we have decided to take to the airport of a taxi which have ordered in the reception. The elderly Indian who has demanded at once from us 65 pounds has appeared the taxi driver. He some times asked us, from what terminal our plane takes off, considered the ticket, and as a result, has brought us not on that terminal, having told that all O. Ê, get out. Naturally, I descended have checked up departure and it had to carry us in a proper place. By the way, on the ticket the letter "S", meaning terminal South was distinctly visible. But the main thing was that we at last have reached the airport alive. It is good that I have overslept the most part of a way on a back seat, but that I have seen having woken up, have cast me into nervous trembling. I do not like to go in cars as passenger, but to be the passenger of SUCH driver, it was very first time in my life. One of my favorite film is "Pulp fiction". There is one moment when Travolta driving his car after injection of drug. He drove the car, and his face shown close up, expressed full serenity together with hardly the slightly opened eyes. At our taxi driver of an eye were even more serene - that is they practically did not open. He started drive fast and pressed the brake pedal very fast having noticed arising back of car in the last moment. My wife?s stomach has appeared very sensitive to such driving style, but, the blessing, she has reserved by a special package which we have taken from the plane, and it has appeared very opportunely.
At the airport, before the landing, I found out that among our luggage there is no camera. It was in a cover of enough big size. I have strained the memory and have recollected that I have put it on an armchair in a motel hall. I was in full confidence that the camera have been noticed by motel manager at the reception deck and wait me now there. When I have called in motel, the voice with strong Indian accent has asked me, in what hall I have left the camera. An amusing question, because a hall there only one. Then he has asked to wait, and in a minute meaning, apparently, searches of the camera on armchairs before a nose, has informed that has found nothing. The camera was not cheap, but I lost about thousand of pictures.

Conclusions:
1. London - a remarkable city.
2. It is necessary to live in those areas where you are not allocated among local population.
3. It is necessary to live ONLY in big hotels - it will appear more cheaply and more comfortably.
4. It is necessary to take a licensed taxi only
5. Beware motels like Viking.
