Although I do.

Food is dreadful.

AVOID and head for one of the excellent Indian Curry Houses along the High Street (provided you like Indian food, which sadly for me,i don't.

Dreadful!
  1 / 10
As the other review was quite old, we thought we'd give this place a try. It was the worst Chinese I've ever eaten. It was very expensive, £30 for 2 mains and a couple of side dishes, and the quality of the food was dreadful. I had Kung Po chicken, which was supposed to have a hot and spicy sauce, with green peppers and cashew nuts. What I got was a slimy, flavourless dish with cucumber (I assume they'd run out of green pepper and thought I wouldn't notice the difference). It had no heat or spice and the cashew nuts were served on the side in a pot rather than cooked in the dish. The sauce was a tiny dribble at the bottom of the container and it tasted of nothing. Lots of raw onion and tinned water chestnuts, as well as some other unidentifiable vegetable that had the slimy quality that suggested it too had been tinned.

My husband had the house special curry, which was virtually inedible. The meat was fatty and chewy and the sauce had an unpleasant flavour. Even the egg fried rice looked as if it had never seen the inside of a wok. The sweet and sour chicken balls were soggy, greasy and barely cooked and the sauce had a strong flavour of cucumber.

I wish I'd trusted the other review and would implore anyone reading this not to spend their hard earned cash at this place. £30 for the quantity of food we had was a bit of a sting, even if it had been top quality, but the pap we were served left us feeling like we'd been mugged. Frankly, I'm amazed we both weren't poisoned, but perhaps there wasn't actually enough substance in the dishes to do this. Heed this warning; stay away!

Special Curry & Egg Fried Rice

Very very bog standard curry. Low grade meat, very fatty & expensive in comparison to much better takeways. Wouldnt recommend to anyone unless drunk.
