Do not go

Very poor customer service, the manager who was in the kitchen argued with us before our meal. They dont like children and I think they dont like customers!!
Very local for us but we will not go back.
ALSO, pensiors price means smaller plate... be warned
Dont go!!!

FAMILY FRIENDLY NOT ANY MORE
This used to be the place to go as a family and sit outside and let the kids play. We would often stop after a bike ride here, but the last few times have been made to feel as if we are an inconvenience and the staff members very rude about children actually being inside when you order.Signs up all over the bar area stressing that children can not order (well obvious we would not allow that ourselves)and that they are not to sit down on the chairs at bar!!(why) It is only while we are ordering they are not going to sit there for the duration. We WILL NOT be going to this pub again. All staff need customer training courses in customer satisfaction.. Predict this pub closes within the next 2 years...

Not very good
  2 / 10
I pretty much agree with the previous review. Went here about two weeks ago. The bar staff were pleasant enough, but a little inexperienced. We had the carvery, and one of the two staff serving it up was like a bad-tempered dinner lady. You wouldn't have thought we were customers at all. This behaviour matched the carvery which was about as good as a school dinner from the 1970's.

I have to admit the steak in gravy wasn't too bad, but the trimmings, what there were of them, were totally weary, being either over-watery or dried-out.

By all means come here if you would like to re-live your long lost schooldays. All it needs is those trestle tables and benches.

Annie's Place used to have a good rep, but, my word, it has gone down the pan.
