King William

The King Bill is a rural drinker, really in need of love & attention. Recently however, there has been a bit of an effort put into the ale & last time I was in, it even looked as if it had had a sweep! Jesting aside - they now have 2 handpulls & both were well-kept, but the hobby basis of the business means that it is as quiet as the grave & so gets treated as a local's common room - shame really - this could be a lovely pub.

The first time at the pub for us but dont be put off by the exterior as we nearly were,the best "pub meal" we've ever had.A fantastic menu and all local ingredients used. The hosts David (the chef) and Nicola made us feel very welcome, remember to take cash or your cheque book as they dont take cards. We were unaware of this but no problem, --oh just put a cheque in the post , how refreshing to hear.very reasonably priced too.
