Bad food
Have ordered soup of the day,Country vegetable, we got soup from the packet:-(. Chunky chips cut by chef were basic frozen chips. My boyfriend ordered home made Ale pie and for sure it was not home made. My chicken was swimming in the jar tomato sauce..The worst lunch we ever had and we do eat a lot in pubs.

AVOID PLOUGHMAN'S LUNCH
  1 / 10
Really, really bad. More a plate of ingredients including a raw (not pickled) onion, nachos and an entire slab of red leicester from a packet. No pickle or chutney (though I was offered Mango chutney even though I wasn't eating curry). Wish I had sent it back. Total waste of £6.50

AVOID!!!!
  1 / 10
Visited today after a few years absence (personal reasons)place is under new management, ordered 3 hot drinks and 3 toasties & 2 bowls chunky chips - cost nearly £19.00. had to wait 50 minutes and when toasties arrived we were absolutely flabberghasted! cheap white bread toasted filled with processed cheese slice (yes 1) couple of bits of onion and a slice of ham - not even done in a toastie machine just the bread toasted and put together as a sandwich! chunky chips were ok but very greasy. My oh said not to complain as we had waited so long and we were starving. staff were friendly but obviously inefficient!
