If anybody ever wonders about going to the Shoulder of Mutton in Shirland be assured that you will meet the most friendliest people I know, it is run by an excellent landlord, landlady and their son.The locals are all welcoming to regulars and newcomers alike. They have numerous entertainment nights, darts and dominoes, free pool night on a Tuesday, easy mike nights where anything goes, musical of course, that happens on every last saturday of the month. The landlady is also a keen fundraiser and has regular 'game' nights to raise money, charities include RNLI, Air ambulance, Cancer societies.
Or if you just fancy a nice cold beer and a relax on the beer garden with lovely views you will be made most welcome. I will recommend going to the Shoulder of Mutton to anybody, feel free to give them a call to enquire.

Never visited but rang this bar to check whether some (NHS smoke-free) beer mats we'd sent had arrived and were being used. Spoke to the landlord, who was rude and aggressive - told me he didn't hold with that anti-smoking s**t and I was not to bother him again, then he slammed the phone down on me.
