Brilliant food on Steak night
  10 / 10
Well we said we would visit this pub again to find out whether it really was as good food as Valentine's night and I am happy to say it was. We went to the Bell on a Thursday which turned out to be steak night and any steak from fillet beef to gammon is 2 for 1. I'm not really a steak fan; preferring to eat food I wouldn't normally cook myself. However, I opted for fillet steak, as did my husband, and it was brilliant! I was surprised. A large cut, thick and juicy and extremely tasty and even better, much better than anything I have cooked myself and half price too. mmmmm it was a real treat with all the normal trimmings and we choose to have a peppercorn sauce too. Very good. We ate by a lovely log burner and enjoyed our night. The chef Dave was very pleasant and said that the meat is all sourced locally. The Bell has really good pub food at reasonable prices and on steak 2 for 1 night amazing value. Well worth a visit.

Great food and friendly atmosphere
My husband and I have now eaten at the Bell many times and the food is wonderful. You can be assured of a warm welcome from Karen and John and nothing is too much trouble for Dave the Chef.

We have been sampling their two for one offer on steaks on a Thursday night and have been delighted on both occasions. The scallops in parma ham for starters were cooked beautifully and the eton mess and pancotta for dessert was the perfect ending. We can also recommend their Sunday Lunches. Nice cosy restaurant with a good atmosphere. Also great for small family functions as they have a small bar area and separate toilets which keeps it totally private.

We sincerely hope that John Karen and Dave's clientele continues to grow
and the Beckingham Bell prospers.

Excellent food
  10 / 10
My husband and I ate here last night for Valentine's Day and had an excellent meal. The Bell is a hidden away quaint pub with great atmosphere and food. It was well worth eating here just for the Lobster Thermidor which was lovely. We had a three course meal plus coffee for £24.95 per head which is amazing value for a Valentine's meal with Lobster. The staff were very friendly and we shall certainly come back again. There is an extensive menu all reasonably priced. The portions are of a very good size. This pub doesn't get very busy in the winter as it is hidden away but is very popular with cyclists in the summer and it has 4 acres and lovely beer gardens. Well worth a visit.
