What a night!
  10 / 10
We had a brilliant night in OHares, we are group of 8 girls on a hen night. We started with a gorgeous meal in Hugh McCanns, particularly rated the steak sandwich and homemade apple pie. After a few bottles of wine and loads'a laughs we wandered through the conecting doors to o'Hares front bar. The atmosphere was fantastic and the live band was brilliant we danced til late.local talent not bad either!!
Great place can't wait to visit Newcastle again

Awful food
I was in this "restaurant" 2 years ago and had to walk out the service and the food were that bad; raw frozen mussels for starters was the climax of a bad experience.

I decided to give it a go tonight because they have apparently "cleaned up their act"

I was wrong.

For £13.00 I was served a frozen microwaved chicken breast stuffed with some kind of chemical mush that was supposed to be smoked mature farmhouse cheddar with bacon.

The chicken meat was pink in the centre, slimy, and dripping water.

It was adverised as being "coated" in a cajun relish.

The reality was half a bottle of some generic barbecue ketchup Literally poured completely over the chicken, it truly was DISGUSTING.

The chips which are £2.00 came in a (very)small bowl and amounted to no more than 4 or 5 actual chips with a few 1/4inch bits of chips.

Any so called chef that was happy to let this tastless, horrid, foul, gunk out of their kitchen dserves to have their backside kicked repeatedly.
