A friendly welcome, good ale, excellent value meals with great flavours, lovely Sunday roasts, all meats are exceptional! extensive menu in both restaurant and bar, wonderful curry (a personal favourite) and even takeaway pizza! great location, what more could you want?

Meals really are cooked to order no pinging here. Menu is frequently changed and great quality at good prices. Vegetables are perfection. I travel from Cannock every Friday for good food and good beer and great hosting by Andrea and Chris who is a super chef. Try the Stilton Chicken you won't find better and you won't be ripped off. If you are a fish fan the cod in white wine is a must with real chips or potatoes it's your choice. And if it's a Pizza you want try one of Chris's specials you'll never go to Pizza Hut again. The Shoulder of Mutton is a small country pub that is a bit difficult to find but well worth the effort

nice restaurant was child friendly and disabled friendly. staff very accomodating. Meals wasnt as good as expected.
