This was once my favourite eatery, no longer! Twice they've let me down; they won't get another chance until it changes ownership!
We waited 1 1/2 hours last night for our food to arrive at the table; others came in later, ate and left before we'd been served! The owners response was trite - 'fresh food takes time to prepare' How long does it take to grill a steak or a plaice??? An apology would have been nice but not forthcoming!
The 'specials board' - it hasn't changed in a year!

If we could rate on misery, the landlord here would constitute a 10/10! what a grumpy old man! food was cold and microwaved when we complained, vegetarian option came with bacon!
There are cones to stop parents parking there cars when on school run and a small child was nearly hit by a tractor while we were there as the roads are unpaved in places - when we asked if the parents couldnt' use his carpark he said "not my problem" - NICE!
Highly recommend the Red Hart a couple of miles down the road which we use when cycling this route now.
