Very poor and arrogant service
  1 / 10
Visited for the first time last week because of the good reviews and was very dissapointed. We didnt have a reservation not thinking we would need one but the owner looked at us as with a frown and a sigh, she then proceeded to check her clipboard and said there is a free table even though the pub was clearly half empty. We ordered 2 carveries and drinks and tried to overcharge us!! Husband was ready to walk out but unfortunately for us we stayed for the worst carvery ever! Food tasted like it had been sitting there awhile,
Would not recommend this place to anyone, was very disappointed with the food and to top it off Kate is very unwelcoming and rude which is surprising as she is in the hospitality service!

Fantastic...
  10 / 10
Just returned from a family meal at the March Hare. It was very welcoming and we were served and seated within a few minutes. My husband had a Carvery whilst the rest of us ate from the main menu.

The waitress came and told us when our food would be coming out so my husband could go to the Carvery - enabling us to eat together. The food was absolutely fantastic. It was all hot and freshly prepared. Enormous plates and portions that filled them! Their 'Real onion rings' are the best I have ever tasted. Compliments to the chef, the waiting staff and the bar staff. Excellent value and all completely satisfied. We will be back soon!

not happy
  1 / 10
disorganised staff,
staff not ackknowlegde the fact that we were there,
had to wait for service at the carvery,
asked for a particular cut of meat, but did not get it,
food tasted as though it had been kept hot for a while, and was very bland.
On paying, we were asked if everything was ok, and ingored the fact that we said that we were unhappy.
We will not be recommending this to any of our friends.
