About

The owners say:

Situated on the banks of the River Severn, The Wharf Inn is in the heart of the beautiful Worcestershire countryside.

There is ample parking and a children's play area on site. The original building dates from the mid 18th century and first gained a liquor licence in 1835. Today, as a Free House, we offer Real Ales and Traditional Pub Food; nothing fancy, just tasty food at realistic prices: together with clean, simple accommodation if required.

We are a Dog Friendly pub, so please feel free to pop in if you are out walking or holidaying on the river - we can usually find a titbit or two for them as well!

Came to this pub a couple of years ago, and walked straight out! Came back after hearing good reports from friends and the difference is amazing. It's clean and friendly and the meal we had was excellent. Yes the toilets do let down the rest of the place but they are clean. I was told they are going to redo them this year. Give these people a chance they have worked wonders.

Response from owner
I would be the first to agree that the toilets are in dire need of refurbishment; this is going to be done shortly - however it is not a quick fix involving a coat of paint. The building needs to be pulled down and rebuilt and the drainage rerouted.

The toilets are NOT dirty, they are clean and functional; they are damp, yes, due to the poor quality of the external walls and the fact that we had reopened just prior to this comment having been closed for 6 weeks due to flooding.

julieboing also contacted me via our website and I responded, however she did not do me the courtesy of letting me know she had also posted on a public site - if she had mentioned her comments during her visit we could have explained our situation and she might then have been a little more forgiving - as are the vast majority of our customers
