McCoys At Yarm

We have been here a couple of times, usually ok service and ok food but on a recent visit - what a shocker! The sullen, moody waitress barely spoke to take the order, frowned several times when asked questions and then lost the order. After 20 minutes of waiting fo a coffee we called her back, to be told our order was next out -a least 4 other tables after us were served before us. After another 15 minutes we asked how long our salads would be - once again she would go and check - the proceeded to go through her order list and try to sneak it into the kitchen. It was very obvious that we had waited nearly 40 minutes - the other staff kept looking but not asking, perhaps it is a usual event! Don't rely on prompt or polite service. In fact be prepared for a face like a storm trooper!
