Great place, food needs to be better 6/10
How refreshing to find a pub that has had some proper investment. Great presentation, good beer, gardens, inside and outside eating areas. Awesome. I guess we therefore had high expectations when it came to trying the food. Fish of the day was Haddock - not very tasty and dry. Not sure how garden peas could be so tasteless. My wife had the salmon which was a little undercooked in the middle. Less than average food and what makes it worse is it's at restaurant prices. Such a shame and disappointment. Either reduce the prices by 30% or improve the quality.

Wonderful Weekend
  9 / 10
My wife and I recently visited Cornwall on a walking weekend. The Prince of Wales was reccomended to us when we passed through the beautiful village of Helford. We had intended to camp but the weather took a turn for the worse so we took a room in the Inn. The rooms were first rate - very comforatble and clean. We also enjoyed excellent food, although we did have a slight wait. Hoping to visit again when the weather is nicer!

restaurant prices
  7 / 10
Having been to this pub several times over the last year, have found it wonderfully warm and welcoming, The only downfall is that the food is resatuarant prices, but its a pub. The portions are far too small for the price, but the food is good, maybe they should think of either cutting prices or signifucantly increasing portion size, it would be a shame to loose the customers for the sake of this.If you dont want to eat out, go here for a cosy winers day drink, the wood burner is always well stoked.

Warm welcome
  4 / 10
Had a warm welcome to this lovely very well refurbished villiage pub.
All was going well until we received our second course and we were very disapointed as we realy thought that we had found a little gem to tell our freinds about. I had ordered the rib eye steak, but what I received was a very thin, very pale, dried up slice of meat and some nice chips and veg. My wife had the haddock in bread crumbs but that too was disapointing and not unlike what you would buy from a frozen food shop.
A real shame because this could be a great place if they can improve on the food. Just in case we were unlucky we will try them again.
