excellent atmosphere
  9 / 10
Having spent a considerable time looking for somewhere to eat near Telford we found The Bell. This is a very friendly pub where the staff make sure you are welcomed and well looked after. The meals we had from the main menu were served in good time, hot and tasted good! Our drinks order came quickly and we enjoyed being served at the table instead of the usual scram at the bar. It was an excellent evening and we will be returning next time we come this way

Dont go for meal unless booked
  4 / 10
Apparently wont take bookings for less than 6, so when despite telephone assurances that 5 would easily get seated we arrived to be a pretty much ignored and eventually told would take at least an hours wait (not good when youve got kids) and this when so many empty tables of many sizes- strange that since youd imagine they must all seat at least 6 if waiting for bookings. Sadly cant comment on food but can say new place by Premier Inn and Mere garden centre was lovely

The refurbishment that this pub has undergone has been done to a very high standard and the outside area has also been beautifully landscaped. We are weekly visitors to this place for the 2 for 1 extensive choice menu. The food is very well cooked and presented, the staff friendly and efficient. Eat inside, on the patio or in the gardens. A great location and well worth a visit. It does get very busy at peak times, and as it is open all day, I suggest going at off peak times/days to enjoy what this pub has to offer.

What A Transformation!!!
  9 / 10
When you compare pubs in the area this one must rate quite high up your list. We read the shropshire star review before visiting as we havent been in about 2 and a half years and since then the pub has been refurbished.
Prior to the refurb the pub was tired and dated and needed some TLC. 10/10 to the planners, they have done a fantastic job! Most refurbed pubs can look too modern and plastic The Bell has managed to retain its character and charm but has been brought into the 21st century. The 2 for 1 menu makes eating out affordable and their special board is as diverse as the menu. Its the first time i've seen peroni on tap and they have a good range of cask ales which change regularly.
All i can say is we had a really pleasant evening and we will be returning.

Agree 8/10
Must agree with last review. It was excellent.Booked a party of 6 for Friday night, was greated very politly by staff, was given the choice of two tables for 6, food was good, hot and prompt. I have been here for a drink on a sunday before and the place was heaving, carpark very full, all this seams to say to me that it is very popular and people will only pack a place out if it is GOOD Will go back again and will recomend to many friends
