Customer service feedback
  3 / 10
My friends and I were on our way to Devon camping for the weekend and stopped off for a coffee and sandwich at the tea-rooms. Very nice spot. Unfortunately we had the same experience as the comment above and that I noticed was in June 2011. I believe that for this particular occupation you do have to be at least hospitable to your customers. We didn't even get as much as a hello or smile, it doesn't cost anything to at least acknowledge your customers !! It did spur us on to compare customer service in each place we went at the weekend, and sad to say this was the worse, although I do agree the coffee and sandwich were nice.

Simonsbath in rain
  9 / 10
We arrived at noon in rain and mist to meet friends for the circular walk to Cow Castle. We received a warm welcome on arrival at Boeveys although the resident Airdale was fast asleep. We ordered lunch, which was promptly and gracefully served. Lovely soup, great pasty and satisfying jacket potato. Excellent coffee and delicious cakes. Thus fortified, we completed the walk. Thank you, Boeveys, for the warm welcome and great lunch.

Excuse me!
  3 / 10
We stopped in this beautiful area to walk around and have a morning coffee. The area is indeed stunning but the tea rooms seriously let the experience down. After entering the establishment, the three of us found a table and sat down. After a couple of minutes the table next to us was being served. The man needed to come to their table three times in order to bring their required food and drink but at no time did any of us see him smile and he definitely ignored us sitting at our table. After a very long while a woman approached and asked us if we were ready to order. After telling her that we were, she then proceeded to tell us in an unfriendly manner that we should have gone to the counter to order. We suggested that someone could possibly have told us to which she replied "well, I'm telling you now". After that we were served with no eye contact and still no smile from either of them. Excuse me, but this was absolutely dreadful. The only reason I have given this even a three star rating is because the coffee was very acceptable and you could not fault the setting. Do not go there, try the Exmoor Inn instead.
