bernard and raymond shop at iceland
  1 / 10
Just eaten in the worst place I have ever had the misfortune to visit. Ridgeways in Eastbourne - Mead Street. I think Raymond and Bernard basically shop at iceland and serve it. outrageous. Incensed me enough to register to here to tell everyone. best it is NOT. It is one of the only restaurants in an area with a captive audience - older people being exploited by these people.
The food was deepfried to within an inch of its life or baked (badly) from frozen. Tasteless, sloppy and appallingly cheap food overpriced. Deserts at 5 pounds a pop (not priced on their twee little blackboard). It cost £74 for 3 people and next time I'll go straight to Iceland myself. I suggest never wasting your time or money on this nasty little rip off venture.

Thanks for looking after us...
It had been difficult to find somewhere to suit lunch with my parents, but the 'chaps' at Ridgeways have an excellent attentive format that is just right for the occasion. My parents like traditional food well cooked without breaking the budget. There is a broad menu; we had stews with lots of fresh veg... which was served in the warm, sunny room, with fresh flowers on the table. The efficient staff, understood how to 'managed' my father which meant we could relax and enjoy our time together. Thanks very much. There is street parking around the restaurant; we found a space with no problem. Two course lunch for three people with a bottle of wine approx £55.
