Very dissappointed
  1 / 10
The Harvester (Pub area)in Southampton used to be my favourite place for luncheon on a Saturday of a busy mom's week end shop. Oh my gosh what has happened?

Firstly me and my partner stood at an empty bar for 15 minutes waiting for service, wondering if anybody actually worked here or is the bar a self service. I was looking for a bell to ring for attention, we decided to hang around a little longer, maybe there was someone that actually worked behind the bar?

Finally a very miserable lady did actually turn up, she was so rude and didn't give us time to order our food but took our drinks order and processed our debit card payment only to have to process our food order 5 seconds later. She threw a pot plant at us filled with old sauces and some knives and forks that we had to carry to our table. We wanted to take advantage of the lovely sunshine so decided to eat outside. Well these tables were disgusting!! The whole week of beer spilt had accumulated on the tables! There was not one part of the table that was not filthy and sticky. Once the food arrived we were met with the most miserable person once again serving our food. I needed some mayonnaise but was really too scared to ask.

No never again!!

What a night?
  10 / 10
When my wife and our family first arrived at the Ham Farm Harvester we were disturbed to find that the hostess greeted us in a top that can only be described as transparent. This alarmed my wife, who is of a nervous disposition at the best of times and quite unused to such nudity from humans.

We were disappointed to learn that our cats would not be allowed in either restaurant or pub and that my wife would have to wait outside with them. In sunnier weather this may have been acceptable but in the pouring rain it seemed quite unfair to the cats. It also meant my wife got wet. The rain fortunately didn't have the same effect on her clothing as it had had on the hostess's blouse.

The chips were far too hot and crispy for my liking and the egg yolk was almost solid. It was impossible to dip firm chips into creamy egg such as I have enjoyed since childhood.

My wife found her water a little salty thus didn't feel able to share it with our cats.

When we returned home, we discovered that all our experiences had been entirely unsatisfactory, leading to colds for my wife and cats.

Top Class All The Time
  10 / 10
The Ham Farm, a harvester, is my favourite place to eat. The staff are so friendly and always get a warm smile. The decor, done up a year a go, is lovely and really warm feeling. The adjacent pub is also very nice, which makes a nice place to relax whilst waiting for a table, which is only 20mins - 40mins but well worth it. The food is always first class, but very reasonably charged and although the harvester menu is always nicer and bigger than the other harvester near me. The free salad cart is always a treat with every salad, pasta, fresh roll variety you could want. The desserts are also amazing, the ice cream is to die for.

All i can say is that if you're considering visiting dont think about it, just do it.
