Who Would want to Share
This summer we found a little diamond mine and one we didnâ??t want to tell anyone about. However, after reading a recent comment i felt compelled to respond. Down a small forest lane only highlighted by a sign saying, Camping, Cream Teas and Farm Shop, we found a little gem. Sat in a lovely garden enjoying, as it said on the gate sign, "Probably the best cream teas in the forest" we thought how do these people make money. The cream tea was wonderful, plenty of scones cream and jam and just when we thought it was over, the lady brought us out some home made cake. We got all this for about £4.50. You donâ??t get that at Costa Coffee for a bland coffee and a soggy cookie. We were there for about 45 minutes and in that time realised that it wasnâ??t a "hidden" gem after all. The place was a constant buzz of customers and a great deal of them seamed regulars. If you come for a day out and resent paying a small amount of money on something so yummy. Make your own and sit in your car

Acresdown farm tearoom
We went for afternoon tea at the Acresdown farm in Minstead, first impressions were what a lovely place! Then after ordering our cream tea we were told they did not allow customers to share! Has anyone else had this problem? I think it is unacceptable to be told what i can and cant do with my purchase! Surely in business a bit of money is better than none!

Cold in every way
  1 / 10
I stayed at the Old Laundry, Acres Down Farm in late 2010 with my family. While we had a lovely time in the New Forest the accommodation was frankly poor, the shower did work but only with either scolding hot water or cold water, this was not a fault but a poor attempt at fitting a shower. Worst of all was that the accommodation has no proper heating, the storage heaters did not make a difference so the only means of heat were electrical plug in radiators which is bad when you have to feed the electric with pound coins. The cooker had a ring that did not work and to get the kettle to work you had to pull the plug slightly out of the socket. We did not complain on holiday as the list grew as we got later into the week and I did not want the confrontation while on holiday. Maybe as a couple you can survive but with two young children who wake up cold in the night it is not for us again.
