Better than 3 crowns, brinkworth
  10 / 10
We have been to La Flambe 3 times in 2 months. The food is first class and the service professional but friendly. We are ardent 3 crown fans and did not believe we would ever find anywhere to top it, but we have. On our last visit we had with us a top UK chef who cooks personally for a VIP in this country, he was knocked out by the food and the service, trust me, if he liked it has to be quality. The place was packed but the staff coped with all forms of service to everyone.

Quality and plenty of it!
  10 / 10
If quality and large portions are important to you then you could do a lot worse than Le Flambe. A combinatiion of French/Spanish dishes are served up with flair and imagination - the rabbit is particularly good and not often found on menus today, give it a go!

Fantastic French Restaurant in the traditional family sense
  10 / 10
There is a real sense of family from this cosy and welcoming resaurant which is hidden from the main road by the impressive village church. The cuisine is typically French, in the classic style, but with a few Mediterranean twists from its founder, Manuel. You could not want for a more friendly atmosphere and the service is both faultless and un-hurried. The Manager, mark, ensures every guest receives the same high levels of service and attentiveness that all regulars have come to expect and appreciate. This is, without doubt, one of the best restaurants I have eaten at and I would recommend it without hesitation.

Worth a visit but...........
  5 / 10
Food is typical of most pubs/hotels at slightly above average prices.
Atmosphere, character and service is all ok but not special.

SCHOOLS OUT!
I knew I was on for a bad experience when I asked the wired distracted waiter where the fish was from and he snorted 'the sea!'. I remained incredulous and he muttered something about Brixham and a van now and then.

I enjoy busy places if the food is fresh and the service congenial. This had neither to balance the chaotic atmosphere. The food was not as good as my old comprehensive and the service lacked charm and attention all carried out by aggressively over worked waitresses. Potatoes frozen and reheated, depressed veg and tasteless sauces camouflaged over cooked fish and meat.

If you like your food to echo hospital Christmas meals served up by aggressive six formers. . .get yourself down to the Flambé dan le Sutton Benger!!! This is a kind review as well.
