Poor service
  3 / 10
My daughter, son in law and I called in to the Cresselly one warm summer afternoon and whilst the river side setting is beautiful and peaceful it was decidedly frosty in side! The lady behind the bar whom I presume is the owner as I cannot believe anyone would employ someone so dour hardly made the experience one we would rush to repeat. It did cause us some hilarity it could only be likend to a "faulty towers" moment. Such a shame as we called there a lot some years back and always had a warm welcome and good food.

FANTASTIC!
  9 / 10
Recently visited the Cresselly Arms, Pontargothi on a date.....And I must say that the welcome was warm and the decor tastefully done! The place looks so classy and has obviously had a recent refurbishment to make the most of the riverside restaurant and garden. The food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I've never had such a perfectly cooked steak, and it looked every bit as good as it tasted! It was very well presented, in fact STUNNING! The halloumi and beetroot starter was GORGEOUS, and the sticky toffee pudding to die for! What more could anybody want?!!! Obviously a popular pub restaurant!

Well all I can say about this place is how unwelcome we felt, we walked in & were greeted eventually (& I do use the term greeted VERY loosely)by a mature lady in her 60's who we assume was either the owner/manager who clearly didnt want or feel she needed our custom as she made it quite obvious we were'nt welcome & done her best to put us off dining there by commenting on how long we would have to wait she didnt even show us a menu just asked what did we want!!...we couldnt believe how rude she was it was as if she thought it was a top class restaurant somewhere fancy as oppose to what it actually is which is just a pub in wales pfft.....really genuinely wouldnt waste your time, effort or money at this place.
