The Glyn Clydach Coach House

I feel it is my responsibility to my wedding couples past, present and future to respond to this post. I am the Janine that is referred to in this review and I am the wedding co-ordinator at the Coach House Glyn Clydach. I absolutely love my job and find the greatest satisfaction in doing as much I can for all my wedding couples, often beyond the call of my duties. At initial wedding meetings I am happy to spend as much time as needed to show couples around the venue and to discuss costs based on their provisional numbers. This is always done before any deposit is paid.

We at The Coach House do not usually package a wedding but tailor it to your requirements, however at the beginning of this year we produced a late deal offer to fill the few dates we had left available to maximise our business for 2011.

This particular couple booked with us in September 2010. In February of 2011 I received a phone call from the couple enquiring about the package but unfortunately I had to explain the package was for new bookings to fill the spaces we had left for the year. I know I did my utmost to accommodate this couple even managing to quote them a price that came under the cost of the package but unfortunately for me it would seem it was not enough. At no point was I ever rude to this couple, it is very upsetting that my name has been branded online with these false remarks.

Anyone who has any doubts about our venue please come along where on display I have countless testimonials and thank you cards from many of my happy couples.

Please do NOT book your wedding with these people, they claim to tailor make your wedding and make you feel special to begin with. You pay your deposit and then ..... you never hear from them even if you try to email, ring, or write a letter. We were unhappy as they had advertised a very good package two months after we had booked our wedding, our wedding is not until December. Our so called wedding coordinator Janine, was lovely to begin with, but the problems arose when we asked her about the package, they refused and said it was for new weddings being booked, I was disgusted and very upset at the way she spoke to my partner, who was most considerate to her. We had emailed twice and no response and then she told us that she would work out a wedding for us, she was to ring back. An hour later we were still waiting so my partner rang again, she answered straightaway complete with figures that were totally wrong. Our wedding coordinator did not even know anything about our wedding!! After a long conversation in which she was most unaccommodating I decided that if she did not know anything about our wedding, and hadnt bothered to find out in 5 months since we booked it and that she could be this ungracious over a small matter such as this then I really did not want her to coordinate anything to do with my wedding. I went to the hotel next door and was met with a different attitude altogether and booked there instead. I am really looking forward to my wedding with the Glyn Clydach Hotel, please do not confuse the two. One looks run down and dilapidated and pales into existence next to the beautiful grounds of the Hotel. If you want to get married in a shed, choose the coach house, if you want to get married in a palace costing the same choose the Hotel !!!
