Birthday Meal
  10 / 10
A party of 6 out for a good meal on a special occasion and we where not disappointed, we had a variety of selections from the menu and the specials board.

We had excellent service and all my party had nothing but praise for the food. I would certainly recommend this venue to my family and friends.

Long may it continue in the same vain

Fun time with the girls
  10 / 10
I went to the Greyhound with a few friends. The food and service was excellent. We were worried about reviews we had read but had a fantastic time with superb food. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all and we plan to return again very soon

Beautiful decor does not make up for appalling service!
  1 / 10
I've now dined at The Greyhound three times, and I'm afraid it wasn't a case of third time lucky! First experience was fantastic, all of us had a great time, but the last two experiences have left a lot to be desired!
First impressions are great, the menu has lots of classics and favourites, so there is something for everyone. It's when you actually come to eat that everything just seems to "slide". I have a feeling that they might over book, as the last two occasions we have waited an excesive amount of time for our food and have had to enquire throughout the evening where our food actually is.
It's all well and good sending the teenage members of staff over to apologise, but what can they actually do about it? It is at this point you want the manager to come over and explain what the problem actually is. When you can finally get an answer out of the manager, we found him to be offhand and really not that bothered, which as a paying customer I find completely unacceptable, it is our prerogative to complain as a paying customer, and not expect "attitude" back when doing so!
I'll leave it to you to decide if you want "attitude" with your meals!
