Burrs is the Best
  10 / 10
I've been to Burrs many times and every time its fantastic. The last time I went with a big party (12). The service was excellent, very attentive but not intrusive. I love the fact that you are given olives when you first sit down (free). Some of our party enjoyed the £42.95 3 course supper for 2 with a bottle of house wine. The home made bread rolls are a really nice touch and are also free. I enjoyed the goats cheese starter followed by the sea bass which was cooked perfectly. I love fish and am always really impressed with the fact that it is always cooked perfectly at Burrs. For dessert I had the homemade meringue which was truely delicious and my friend had the creme brulee which was divine, thick and creamy. We all had a brilliant time and it only cost £27 a head which I think is very reasonable considering the quality of the food and service. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be going again!

nightmare
  1 / 10
we went her as a couple for a birthday meal, it started out ok, we ordered our drinks and meals then waited, it took approx 45 mins for our starters to arrive, but we thought ok maybe they are busy, after a very dissapointing start ,we were served prawns in the shell with no means apart from fingers to fish the prawns out of a very hot sauce, after this we were offered no means of clening our hands apart from our napkins even though we asked, after the plates were taken we then had a 50 min wait for our main course to arrive, we still were waiting for the wonderful service we had heard about, the main course was really bad we had ordered steak my fillet was the strigiest bit of meat i have ever had, my partners butterfly chicken was so dried out it was inedible so we asked for our bill ,we were asked if everything was ok but dispite retelling everything we were brushed off as no one could be bothered so i went outside in disgust while my partner paid the bill it cost us just over 75 pounds but he had to wait a further 25 mins as the visa machine was currently offline, so my advice to anyone dont bother with this place its not worth the risk
