Have eaten here a few times as its close to where I live, seemed worth dropping in for a quick, convenient beer/bite to eat but after giving it a few tries I feel I've wasted my money - there's always something to disappoint. The advertised "real" guest ales are never available (either "coming next week/tomorrow", "just put it on & hasn't gone through the pipes" or "just run out"), you always have to settle for a poor quality mass produced beer instead and the food is very hit & miss. If you're lucky you'll get standard pub grub for about the right price but you're just as likely to get tinned mushrooms and chewy day old chips. Don't bother telling the waitress it wasn't so good as she'll just screw her face up at you. Somersets pubs mostly serve good quality local ales as standard and on that alone this place doesn't nearly come up to scratch.
