This pub is a disgrace we were booked in here by a friend so we could attend a party.The letting rooms are seperate from the pub but you have to return to the pub for breakfast.The room was very small with a bathroom where you had to struggle between the shower and the basin to use the toilet.The tv did not work the beds were like rock and there was no chairs of any kind to sit on.Breakfast should have been at nine but we were left stood outside the pub untill somone arrived at ten to open up the pub and then start breakfast for which we were charged for as they said the charge was for room only.The pub was ok with a choice of cask beer but we were the only customers in on a friday night and we were the only residents I WONDER WHY

This pub can be great but persistantly lets you down.The pub says it has three guest beers plus Tetley cask,and when they have it is good as the beers are well kept and served,but you can not be sure that after you get there they will be on.I have had all kind of reasons why there is none from we are cleaning the pumps (4pm in the afternoon as people are coming in for meals)to hes not putting it on till laterThe food here is second to none in this area and great value for money but i like a pint of cask with my meal so we go to other pubs where we know we will be able to buy what we have gone out for. I have only given this pub five points because of lack of looking after its customers if it improved on that point it would have had a much higher mark.

This pub has had a lot of owners and has never been a good pub for real ale drinkers until it was bought by J HOLT BREWERY of manchester.Although it is now a tied pub the standard of beers has very much improved and the pub now does a carvery each day which is top value for money. Well worth a visit if in Thornton.

A PUB IN THE CENTRE OF BURY OWNED BY THWAITES BREWERY WITH A GOOD CHOICE OF CASK BEERS AND FOOD.

A good pub with a big choice of cask beers all seem to be well kept. The food is basic but cheap and well presented.This is one of their better pubs with good quick service.
