Comment for The Anchor, Surrey
A nice location, good food
  9 / 10
All round we rated the Anchor at Pyrford Lock highly. The location right beside the canal was lovely. The food was nicely cooked and reasonably prices. Also the beer was cheaper than many other local hostelries. Table service if you eat inside and if eating outside then you need to order at the bar quoting your table number. At lunch times it does get crowded so get there before 12.30 to ensure you get a table. highly recommended. No public transport so if going by car the pub/restaurant has 2 car parks both free for diners. Be warned if approaching from Pyrford village end there is a very narrow bridge across the canal that is extremely tight for cars to get through.we have seen several get scrapped by not judging the gap correctly.

Comment for The Saddlers Arms, Surrey
We did not rate it.
  2 / 10
We did not rate the Sadlers Arms very highly. It gave the appearance of being dirty and certainly the floor could have done with a good clean. As far as the beer was concerned we do not think the pipes were cleaned out properly as it tasted slightly strange but was just about drinkable. Not on lour list to make a return visit.

Comment for Aspen Flooring, Surrey
Good prices but shop a bit dingy. Ok if one of the partners is present
  7 / 10
We had mixed feelings about aspen Flooring. The prices are very competitive and provided one of the partners is present they had excellent product knowledge. On the first occasion we went in there was a more mature lady in charge. She was charming but was obviously only holding the fort as she was unable to give us much helpful information. When we went back on another day one of the partners Shaun was present and we then got good service. The shop is on the small side and for a flooring shop it is a bit dingy and needs much brighter lighting. We did buy in the end after a bit of haggling and were pleased with the end result.

Comment for Toby Cottage, Surrey
Nice ambience good food but wine was expensive.
  6 / 10
Provided you go for one of the set price menus at the Toby Cottage it is good value. However the A La Carte is expensive. The food is nicely cooked and we found the service to be excellent. When it gets busy expect to wait a while for your food to be delivered to your table. The price of wine is market up considerably and is bordering on the exorbitant. Why they can put a standard bottle of house wine on menu for about £13 is beyond us.. There would still make a considerable profit on each bottle.the price of drinks generally here puts us off returning on a more regular basis.

Comment for The Bulls Head, Surrey
Good English cooking, could do with some refurbishment
  7 / 10
The food at the Bulls Head is good old fashioned English Cooking. The price is right and the portions are generous. Drinks tends to be higher cost than average. A relaxing place to eat with no music and customers tend in the main to be more mature couples. The pub itself is an old coaching inn and is charming. However it could do with some refurbishment. In the winter is can be draughty and the seating is not the most comfortable. having said that we would return for the food.
