Comment for The Drovers Inn, Angus
Xmas menu
The menu sounds good, and for £20 for 3 courses isn't bad, but the salmon starter was tiny, and the belly pork main was VERY fatty, I realise belly pork is a fatty cut of meat but there is plenty of lean belly out there and with slow cooking can be delicious but this was really fat wrapped in pastry, desserts were average. The Drovers used to be excellent, until the new owner, Ian Dodds, took over and changed everything, now it is expensive and average !! A shame.

I've visited The Queens Arms many times over the past six years and the food is always excellent, priced fairly and good choice of British and South African dishes. The only negative is having to collect your own drinks from the bar !
Prehaps if 'Ray' (below) wants cheap, fast food he should go to McDonalds next time !!
