I went to the Bromsgrove clinic for a consultation for a smile makeover.

The clinic is nice and looks really new and clean. I met with the patient co-ordinator to fill in some forms before meeting the dentist and she was eating a packet of crisps! Not very professional.

I met with the dentist and he asked what I didn't like about my teeth and I explained that i wanted a full smile makeover and teeth similar to Cheryl Cole's. This all didn't seem a problem to him - no x-rays were taken, just details of the next step - which is a £500 model of my teeth - a "wax up" of the end result.

To be honest, there was no way I was going to commit at this stage - I had no before and after pictures of other cases the dentist had done; i had no idea what my teeth would look like until I had parted with £500.

I had the sales pitch given to me and my fears were just brushed off with "why worry about something that is probably not even going to happen". Not good enough.

I was talked through the prices and told to pay my deposit quickly, as there is currently an offer on and the deposit secures you get the special deal (£2,000 off a full smile makeover or thereabouts).

To summarize: I found THG just want to make as much money as they can and are not patient focused at all. I have now found an amazing dentist in London to do my makeover; yes, it's costing more, but I'll have peace of mind and a great job done.
